To begin an effective home search, it is important to narrow down what you are looking for. We like to call it separating the “must-haves” from the “like-to-haves.” These priorities will most likely change as a buyer begins previewing homes, and gets a feel for the inventory in their price rage. But, it is critical to at least start the process here.
By writing these goals down and making changes as you go along, you can begin to get a clearer picture of the ideal home for your needs. If you have a partner or spouse – fill in the form separately and then compare. You may be surprised by the difference in your goals. Getting on the same page will save you a great deal of time and energy in the search process. This guide can be downloaded, printed and filled out. Happy home shopping!
