Thousands of Brooklyn residents will be seriously inconvenienced as the New York City Transit Authority refurbishes 9 subway stations on the N line. This will affect New York City bound commuters from Fort Hamilton Parkway all the way to the 86th Street stop.
The projected timeline is 14 months – but as we all know with government projects – these can be severely delayed by unexpected issues, over runs, budget issues and the like.
Once they are done, they are going to close the opposite side of each station to renovate the stops going from Manhattan back to Brooklyn. All in all, its a 3 year inconvenience.
With Brooklyn housing prices higher than ever, and mortgage rates lower than ever, it might be the perfect time to make a change that will provide you with far more space, a beautiful backyard, great schools for your kids and approximately the same commute time to NYC. Maybe its time to move to South Orange | Maplewood.
