The first restaurant review is for the ideal breakfast and lunch establishment titled “food.” That’s right there’s no capital on the “f.” It has such a clean, fresh, modern feel and the food is equally as clean and fresh tasting. There’s no rocket science behind the menu, its just great favorites with a contemporary touch.
Their drinks menu is very big- but with non-alcoholic beverages, including every type of tea imaginable. It’s fun to eat outside and watch the passersby on this high traffic corner. For the full menu, hours of operation etc. go their homepage here.
The other restaurant review is for the incomparable, Huntley Taverne. The architecture and ambiance is unmatched by most NJ restaurants. When you walk in, it is as if you were transported to an Inn high up in the Adirondacks. Soaring high ceilings, stone walls, exposed wood beams and great wide plank wood floors abound. The menu is equally satisfying with a wide variety of American fare to suit almost any palette.
Some of my favorites are the wood fired appetizer sized pizzas, what ever salad or vegetable special that is always farm fresh and their wide variety of fish options- especially the mussels. The “pier de resistance” is the Huntley Sweet and Salty Sundae for dessert. It is a true treasure among the many forgettable spots around town.
